Body Contouring For Fat Reduction – Preserving Results
Body Contouring procedures for fat reduction offer numerous possibilities for refining bodily areas, including:
- Smart Lipo reduces fat deposits and promotes skin tightening.
- CoolSculpting ® is a non-invasive technique that freezes your fat deposits for natural expulsion.
- Cellulaze is the first surgical procedure which reliably reduces cellulite.
It’s wonderful that select plastic surgery procedures are designed to treat the variety of such imperfections to enhance your appearance! The right treatment plan for you depends upon several factors, including: degree of skin laxity, amount of fat, and degree of fibrous areas- among other considerations.
The one commonality among all of the above mentioned procedures is that a proper diet and exercise routine is advised to help maintain longevity in the results. Too, you’ll want to have these routines in place before body contouring. Your physician and select nutritionists can offer the best recommendations for diet and exercise, particularly if you have a medical condition. Still, there are some general guidelines, including:
Proper Nutrition
The USDA food pyramid provides certain guidelines to follow for appropriate food choices with necessary vitamins, minerals and energy from food. The choices include: select fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low fat or fat free dairy products, and protein foods. The goal is to limit or refrain from foods containing saturated fats, cholesterol, added sugar or salt.
Physical Activity
The Department of Health and Human Services offers recommendations for your exercise routine. This includes: 1) Aerobic Activity (any activity in which one foot is off the floor) and 2) Strength Training (weight machines and/or free weights). The duration and level of intensity in your exercise routine depends upon your physical condition. In terms of goals, plan to reach at least 150 minutes a week of moderate aerobic activity (walking, moderate paced running, biking, swimming, etc.) or 75 minutes a week of vigorous aerobic activity (select sports, aerobic classes advanced cycle classes, etc.). The Department of Health and Human Services suggests Strength Training be performed at least twice a week.
