Are You Doing Your Part To Age Gracefully?
Question:To begin, I’m in my early twenties. At this point I don’t realistically need surgical procedures. I’m very well disciplined in no smoking, sleeping on my back, using moisturizer, sun screen and eye cream, 8 glasses of water a day and such. Are their any suggestions you have to aging gracefully at a young age?
Answer: Sounds as if you’re already doing a great job of taking the extra steps in ensuring you age as gracefully! In addition to what you are currently doing you may want to incorporate the following into your lifestyle to ensure that all bases are covered!
- A healthy diet of 4-5 small meals per day
- A mixture of protein and good carbohydrates and fat each meal
- Daily exercise of resistance training and interval training for 30 mins
- Avoid direct sun to your face and chest unless using 50-60 SPF sunblock applied every 90 minutes
Taking preventive measures now, can reduce the chances of unnecessary damage to complexions in the future, so although you may be doing all you can to reduce the signs of aging – remember genetics along with age and lifestyle do play a key part. Proper care can never start too soon, so I commend you in taking proactive steps in ensuring you keep your vibrant complexion for as long as possible.
