Breast Augmentation with Breast Implants – Am I ready to commit?
Question: I have been thinking of breast implants for years and am finally ready to commit! I would like to be a 34C or D (am now a 34B). I also think I am uneven and one breast sags a little more than the other. Will breast implants also ‘lift’ my breasts and even them out?
Answer: It is quite common in women that sagging occurs as we age and it is not always symmetrical. What I can do is perform a regular Breast Augmentation using 2 different sized implants (one positioned slightly higher)…or we can do a one-sided (unilateral) Breast Lift at the same time as the Breast Augmentation surgery, depending on the individual.
The good news is that there is a very wide spectrum of implants available now to consumers (Patients) and their Surgeons. Having choices offers a wonderful opportunity to customize Breast Augmentation surgery. There is no need to have an ‘artificial’ one-size-fits-all look to breast implants anymore. It is highly customizable and why I spend so much time with my patient prior to surgery in discussion and evaluation to help her find the best ones for her body!
